We have received word of clearing storm at Novolazarevskaya station in Antarctica. This is green light—all systems go! The wait is over. Next update will be from the ice. We’re going in, folks. I am taking all your well wishes with us on this historical mission. This is it!
Safe journey, can’t wait to hear about it when you get back.
All the best.
Dave.
Go get ‘er done, Sebastian!! See you back in LA.

Fantastic news, I’ll be thinking of you climbing that glacier every morning as I do Runyon, wondering how on earth you can pull 400lbs up a glacier in minus 40º.
You’re magnificantly crazy and absurdly brave, good luck, and stay warm, and please report in every day!!
Thinking of you every minute with all my love. Stay safe and keep away from thin ice! Very proud of you, my son – of your courage, perseverance and determination but I cannot wait for you to come home! One day less—?! Only 111 left! All love from your mother xxxx
Ta grande soeur for ever, Caroline xxx
Thinking of you every minute and cannot wait for you to come home – only 111 days left!! Keep warm and avoid thin ice! Very proud of your courage – there cannot be many people who would do the same trip! Love you lots – your mother xxx
